Board Policy Library
The library brings together the frameworks, legal instruments, guidance for directors and case studies on which boards draw when integrating nature into governance, together with templates that a board can adapt to its own governing documents.
The Board Policy Library is a curated collection of external frameworks, disclosure standards, legal instruments, guidance for directors and case studies, together with templates prepared by Nature on Board, on which boards can draw when integrating nature into governance. It is a reference library rather than a set of policies for adoption, and each resource has been selected because it supports a particular stage of the work, from first awareness through to implementation, so that directors and company secretaries can locate the material relevant to the decision before them.
The library opens with the guidance written for board directors, which is the most direct starting point for a director approaching the subject for the first time. The legal and governance resources that follow set out the duties and instruments on which a board may rely, and the case studies record the organisations that have already given Nature a formal place in their governance.

Contributing to the library
The library cannot cover every jurisdiction or local actor on its own. Suggestions of a policy, framework, template or organisation that belongs here, and especially of one specific to a particular region, are welcome, and each suggestion is reviewed for inclusion.
